Technical Operator

Job Purpose: Efficient and effective operation of the Production equipment to meet quality, safety and products Specifications/standards.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup and Operation

• Set up machines (calibration/change part, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed). 
• Load raw materials, unload finished products, and maintain a clean and organized work area. 
• Ensuring that safety measures are in place before operating the machine, strictly adhering to lockout tag out safety procedures. Ensuring achievement of the production target.
• Ensuring that products produced meet quality standards.

Quality control and maintenance: 

• Inspect finished products for defects, conduct quality checks, and make adjustments to machine settings to ensure quality standards are met. 
• Test operation of machines periodically. 
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making minor adjustments or 
• coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs 
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and quality standards. 
• Perform regular maintenance to ensure machines are functioning correctly. 
• Report any malfunctions or abnormalities to supervisors and technicians. 
• Full participation on advanced maintenance and troubleshooting.

Safety, compliance and Documentation 

• Ensure OSH, food safety, environment safeguarding and quality measures are upheld at all times. 
• Comply with all company policies and procedures. 
• Maintain activity records 
• Record production and operational data. 
• Reconcile raw materials use and ensure all paperwork is done correctly and compiled during the shift. 

Requirements

• Diploma in in Mechanical or electrical Engineering. or its equivalent
• 3-5 years’ experience in Krones/Kosme PET line blow molder machines, bottle fillers, labelers, and heated tunnel shrink wrappers. 
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Adaptability
